Role Overview
LLM fine-tuning is still the wild west - messy pipelines, scattered tools, and developer experiences that slow teams down. As a Product Engineer, you’ll help transform that landscape. You’ll design and build the core infrastructure that turns today’s chaos into a cohesive, elegant, and empowering experience for anyone who wants to shape models to their needs.
Your work will define how teams train, evaluate, and iterate on custom models. You’ll own the systems that orchestrate training jobs, track experiments, monitor runs, and give customers clear, real-time visibility into what their models are doing. You’ll be shaping one of the most important layers in the emerging ecosystem of AI development.
Ideal Profile
- 3+ years building backend systems for ML or data-intensive products. You’ve built APIs, job orchestration, monitoring pipelines, dashboards—systems that people trust.
- Systems thinker at heart. You design for reliability, clarity, and simplicity. You anticipate edge cases and build with future scale in mind.
- Comfortable with the LLM training stack. You understand what fine-tuning workflows require - GPU constraints, checkpointing, logging, evaluation - and can collaborate deeply with ML engineers on what great tooling should look like.
- Extreme ownership. You take problems from idea to production. When something breaks, you’re the one who digs in, understands it, and fixes it.
- Bonus: Experience building experiment-tracking tools, ML training platforms, large-scale job orchestration systems, or monitoring dashboards that engineers rely on every day.
